What is My Cloud Class?

My Cloud Class is a Canadian educational company based in Toronto. We provide a platform for parents and students to connect with teachers for individualized online lessons. It is our mission to help everyone find their perfect match so they can achieve all their learning goals.

How much does it cost to register with My Cloud Class?

Creating a teacher profile on My Cloud Class is absolutely free. We allow you to set your own hourly rate for lessons which the student pays. For each lesson that you teach you will receive 75% of the total cost as My Cloud Class takes a platform fee of 25%. This platform fee is how we cover our marketing expenses to ensure we get as many students for you as possible. We will advise you when to up your rate as you complete more lessons and become a highly rated teacher which means your rate of pay has the potential to increase over time. We understand you are here to build a business and make a living, so we expect teachers to set their rate with the platform fee in mind.

Where do the lessons take place?

All lessons take place on the My Cloud Class learning platform.

How often do I have to teach?

It is totally up to you! You create your schedule and teach when it works for you.

How much should I charge?

You are your own boss, so you decide what you charge. You can look to see what other teachers with similar backgrounds and experiences are charging, and you can always change your rate if you wish to.

What should I write in my bio?

Your bio is the best way to attract parents and students. It is an opportunity for you to explain why you are the best teacher to help a student reach their goals. You can talk about your background, experience and do not forget to show your personality! If you are stuck, you can always browse other teacher’s bios for inspiration.

How will parents/students contact me?

Parents and students will be able to contact you by clicking on your profile and sending you a message, you will receive notifications of new messages at the email address you registered with.

How and when do I get paid?

Payments are weekly and they are sent directly to the bank account you provide us with.

What do I do if I am having an issue with registering or using my ‘My Cloud Class’ account?

We are always here for you! If you need help with registering, booking students, using your account, or anything else reach out to us at info@mycloudclass.ca and we will get back to you within 24 hours.

Academic Honesty

My Cloud Class is here to help support students achieve all their learning goals, and support teachers in building a responsible and successful business. When signing up with My Cloud Class, each user agrees to My Cloud Class’ Terms and Conditions. Part of these conditions states that students will not contact tutors to complete assignments, papers or tests/exams on their behalf. Teachers agree to not complete assignments, papers or tests/exams on the student’s behalf. Or engage in any other actions that may violate the academic honesty (or any other conduct policy) of the Student’s school. My Cloud Class provides services solely for the purpose of facilitating tutoring and learning opportunities. My Cloud Class reserves the right to block or restrict access to the platform to anyone who does not abide by the set-out policies.

What subjects and ages does My Cloud Class cover?

Although we hope to cover all subjects from Kindergarten to Grade 12 eventually, because we are a new company- as our teacher database grows so will the subjects we offer.

How do I find the right teacher?

Each teacher has created a profile listing their educational experience, areas of expertise and information about themselves to ensure you find the best match. Feel free to message teachers with any questions you may have before booking a session.

How much does a lesson cost?

Teachers set their own rates based upon their qualifications and experience.

How and when do I pay for the lessons?

Once you have set the date and time with your chosen teacher, you will be prompted to confirm the lesson and provide your payment information.
